Personality Profile:
T’vana like all human/klingon hybrids has a short temper which is barely controlled to any degree. Her human side is passionate, friendly and caring where as her klingon side is the reverse. She is argumentative, bad tempered and tough which makes her a little intimidating for those she commands and works with.

Both sides give her great confidence but also a reluctance to let people into her personal life. She demands respect and will earn it if she must. To some extent she considers her crewmates as her family and is deeply protective of them which is the only time she really lets her klingon side out when required.

Personal Background:
T’vana was born on 7th February 2376 to L’iana, a klingon diplomat and Nicholas Rocca, a federation ambassador with years of experience. She was born and raised on Kessik IV which had become some what of a haven for human/klingon offspring.

Her parents settled down to live on Kessik colony as they were concerned at not only the events happening but also the welcome their child would receive on either home world. The Klingons would perceive T’vana as un-pure and she would never be part of the warrior society and on Earth she would be welcome but it would be an uneasy experience.

She was raised free from either at least as long as her parents could shield her from them before she became overly curious about her family line and history. Her ridges had developed when she was young and it created many questions that needed answers and her parents did their best but she took it to mean the opposite of what they intended.

T’vana felt that her parents were ashamed of her and that through that shame and fear they hide her from the world and her heritage on both worlds. She demanded to be allowed to learn about herself and so her parents let her do what she wanted knowing there was no stopping her from the goal.

Earth was her destination where she hoped to find a place to live while she went to school. She had a desire to learn which made her a good student but the downside was she was her klingon temper coming into full bloom. Mood swings and short temper became common which disrupted her education for many months as she tried to control herself.

It took many months of careful thought and determination to bring herself to a place of balance between her human and klingon halves but she did it. She was fourteen when she returned full-time to her schooling which was even harder now that the other students and teachers feared her.
Reaching the age of eighteen marked the end of her schooling where she developed a strong desire in the fields of quantum mechanics, warp theory and the various applied mathematics. Of course she had barely scratched the surface but her background was more than enough for her to create a career for herself.

Starfleet Academy was the answer to the many dilemmas and questions in life she had so she enrolled and after a fairly long waiting period for acceptance she was accepted into the academy where she could learn invaluable things not only about ships and space but also about herself. Since she was a child she wanted nothing other than to learn who she was and even after she started her studies she didn’t know who she truly was.

A human/klingon hybrid was more common in Starfleet now a days but it wasn’t an easy adjustment to make. She strived to do her best and nothing short on that would suffice. To that end she applied herself with distinction to her studies and other activities. Her many studies were heavily aimed in the engineering side of things which was something she had grown to love doing.

She was fiery and argumentative which caused many teachers at the academy to question her ability to fit in and follow rules. T’vara had to prove she had discipline but her klingon half was not easy to control on any day. After a while her knowledge and performance had over grown her lack of discipline and she moved onto the more advanced theories of her given studies.

T’vara finally completed her studies and graduated as an Ensign in engineering where she waited for her first assignment into the federation fleet. The USS Atlantis was her first ship assignment where she was an assistant engineer onboard for two years. Here she put her knowledge and training into practical use in a number of situations which slowly gathered her some respect.

She was an experienced engineer with a rather unorthodox way of solving engineering problems in a crunch which lead her to the next assignment. The USS Nightingale was the next step in the chain where she was assistance to the Chief Engineer, gaining valuable experience in command where she led repair teams and engineering teams.

It was a short lived experience which last a year before she was transferred to the Warhawk as the assistant chief of engineering. Due to the transfer of the Chief only a few months into her time onboard she was considered for the promotion to chief engineer but was denied as a more experienced veteran took the position. She was bitter but accepted the result as she had a chance to work with a veteran in engineering which aided her in furthering her own knowledge.

Having feeling the need to further herself in her career she returned to Earth for Command school training which lasted for a year. She felt it was a little advanced but necessary if she wanted to continue on in her career.

Upon completion of the training she waited for a short time on Earth, visiting her retired parents before she got a rare assignment and promotion. She was promoted to Lieutenant and made the Chief Engineer of the USS Enterprise NX-1701-F. It was more than an honor for her to become the engineer of a ship so technically advanced that she couldn’t wait to get started.
